meet the team: jesse bosworth

Hello everyone. Welcome to the (un)defined arts collective website. We are all excited to share everything that we’ve been working on. All of us here at the Collective are very passionate about art and theatre especially. I am excited to see what all comes up while working together.

A little about me, my name is Jesse Bosworth and I am the Production Manager here at (un)defined. I have been involved with local theatre in the Long Beach area since I was 14. I earned my bachelors at CSULB and have since worked at Knott’s Berry Farm as a technician, for the Henson Company on occasion helping them with Puppet Up, and as the Technical Director at the Long Beach Playhouse. (un)defined is coming along great, I was so happy to work together with Carolina and Vic. Caro and I have worked together since college, trying to get Streamlight Theatre up and going during the pandemic. We are excited to start this new project and see what we will come up with.

We have lots of cool ideas in the works for new projects coming up soon. First we have our show, Generation XYZ, in the works to premier as part of the Long Beach Playhouse Collaborative Season. Look for that coming up in March. In addition we are starting our New Works Pipeline. This is our process to help new artists and playwrights get their projects from in their heads to in front of an audience.

At (un)defined we want to help our local artists tell the stories that they want told. We are pushing to break the standard western theatre practices and to get different art out there. Because we are putting ourselves out in the world as an arts collective we are going to be more than just a theatre company. Our plan is to have different ways to help get stories out there. Look for different filmed projects, staged readings, open mic nights, and more coming in the future.

I am excited to be back at it again trying to get new artists out there. I think this is a great team of people who are all helping to bring these ideas to fruition. I am excited to work with them more and to see what else we come up with. After all, it is (un)defined.
